Enter the student’s name at the top (it saves automatically).
Select the date and approximate duration of the session.
Set the default independence level and prompts used during the session.
Add individual tasks one by one. Each task will record the current independence % and prompts at the moment you add it.
Add any general notes for the session.
Tap “Log Session”. The tasks and their data are now saved as a snapshot.
Why Track Per-Task Independence?
Tracking independence at the task level (instead of only at the session level) gives much richer information:
You can see which specific tasks the student is becoming more independent in over time.
You can see which tasks still require higher levels of prompting.
It supports better fading plans — you can target support reduction on individual tasks rather than guessing.
It helps identify tasks that may need more practice or different strategies.
Why Track Prompts Per Task?
Recording the type of prompt used for each task helps you:
Understand the student’s current support needs more precisely.
Track progress in reducing prompt intrusiveness (e.g., moving from Physical → Verbal → Independent).
Build more accurate natural support plans and identify when a task is ready for fading.
Provide better data when discussing progress with the student, family, or team.
Remember: The goal is not just to log data, but to use it to help the student become more independent on the tasks that matter most to them. Review the logged sessions regularly with the student when appropriate.
